MR. ALVIN CHIEM
University of the Pacific
Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy
Alvin Chiem is a second-year pharmacy student (expected PharmD 2022) from the University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy. He is a researcher in the research lab of Dr. Carlos Villalba-Galea, whose work focuses primarily on cellular electrical activity and how it is affected by drug mechanisms.
MR. JIABIN LU
Zhejiang University
College of Pharmaceutical Sciences
Center for Drug Safety Evaluation and Research
Mr. Jiabin Lu is a PhD student at Zhejiang University, China. His research focuses on identifying and understanding the potential associations between protein post-translational modifications, aging and tumorigenesis. In addition, he also participated in research work in the fields of drug toxicology and drug preclinical research. During his postgraduate study, he has published research papers in Phytotherapy Research, European Journal of Pharmacology, Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B, and a review in Frontiers in Pharmacology.
MS. MIN QIAN
Fudan University
Pharmacy
2012-2016 School of Pharmacy, Fudan University, Bachelor's degree 2016-2019 School of Pharmacy, Fudan University, Master's degree, Supervisor: Professor Rongqin Huang, 2019-present School of Pharmacy, Fudan University, PhD candidate, Supervisor: Professor Rongqin Huang Research Direction Design and application of nanomaterials in the field of precision diagnosis and treatment of tumors:
Application of multi-mode bio-imaging such as fluorescence, photoacoustic, and nuclear magnetic resonance in tumor detection;
Targeted combination therapy for tumors, such as photothermal, chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
MS. SONGNA WANG
Fudan University
School of Pharmacy
My name is Wang Songna, from the research group of Professor Ye Li of Fudan University School of pharmacy. Now I am a graduate student. At present, I am mainly responsible for the research of tumor immunotherapy. I also participated in the project application of National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2021.
MS. ANNEROOS EMMELY NEDERSTIGT
University of the Pacific
Chemistry
Ms. Nederstigt is a second-year MSc student working in the lab of Dr. Joseph Harrison. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of the Pacific in 2019. Her research in the Harrison Lab focuses on the ubiquitination cascade and inhibitor development. They use technical and mechanistic knowledge of ubiquitin transfer and develop inhibitors of the enzymes participating in the ubiquitination cascade. Her current project specifically attempts to design, express and characterize novel protein inhibitors of the Ube2D enzyme, in an attempt to evaluate this E2 enzyme as a potential therapeutic target in treatments for cancer.
